Shirley Anne Hartman, 87, of Alpena passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Medilodge of Alpena.
Shirley Anne Haken was born on January 27, 1934 in Hillman, Michigan to the late Lester and Jean (Cook) Haken. On May 16, 1953, she married Darwin E. Hartman. Shirley was a school bus driver for 27 years, retiring in 1997. She was a Girl Scout leader, enjoyed embroidering, collecting anything “smiley”, her daily calendars and shopping for anything she didn’t need.
Surviving are her husband, Darwin; three children, Randy (Cindy) Hartman, Sue (Mike) Murphy, Shari (Paul) Romel; five grandchildren, Keith (Stacie) Hartman, Jessica (Luke) Krawczak, Adam (Leah) Neumann, Jason (Bill) Romel, Jordan (Randy) Eaton; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Kitter; and niece, Jacci Stepaniak.
Mrs. Hartman was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Darald Kitter; and two nephews, Ted and Ken Kitter.
Memorial visitation will take place Monday at Bannan Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the private memorial service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Martha Hartman-Stuart officiating. For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed at www.bannanfuneralhome.com.
