Donald Lee Cain, 88, of Alpena passed away peacefully Monday, January 25, 2021 at home.
Donald was born on July 9, 1932 to the late Obea and Florence (Eggert) Cain. On August 18, 1951, he married Marilyn St. Charles. She preceded him in death on February 11, 2014. Donald worked at Lafarge, retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish, Ushers Club, church choir, Knights of Columbus, Elks, Moose, and past president of the Eagles. He also sang in the Barbershop Quartet.
Surviving are his six children, Cathy (John Pelsuo) Orlowski, Robert (Sally) Cain, Brenda (Roger) Bauer, Ellen (Earl Thompson) Clearwood, Judy (Vincent Thompson) Rose, Marcia (Mark) Shaffer; 15 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jessica, Drew, Lisa, Bryan, Sarah, Spencer, Emily, Jared, Brandon, Ian, Elliott, Mitchell, Alex, Joshua; 16 great grandchildren, Ava, Amelia, Grayden, Evan, Roland, Felix, Cole, Stella, Alexis, Hannah, Annabelle, Cooper, Ellijah, Evelyn, Whitney, Brock; one great-great grandchild, Levi; and sister, Anna Mae (Robert) Marotta.
Mr. Cain was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Cain; daughter, Lisa Cain; daughter-in-law, Karol Cain; brother, Ernest Cain; two sisters, Geraldine Piper and Lois Dzienski.
Visitation will take place Saturday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Muszkiewicz officiating. Livestreaming will be available for those unable to attend at www.bannanfuneralhome.com.
