William 'Dale' Cadarette, age 89, of Woodstock, Georgia, formerly of Alpena, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022, surrounded by his loving children, at his eldest daughter's home in Woodstock, Georgia where he resided.

Dale was born on October 5, 1932, in Alpena, Michigan to the late William and Bernice (Donnan) Cadarette. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army. After returning to Alpena, he met and married June G. Gokel. He was employed by Presque Isle Corporation and, after an early retirement, took an interest in flying. He purchased his Cessna Twin Prop plane, equipped with skis and enjoyed flying the friendly skies, landing at his home on Long Lake. Dale also enjoyed building homes for his family and growing his garden. He never sat still, always conjuring up his next project. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, fishing, hunting out west, bowling, pool leagues and spending the winter months in Florida.

Dale is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, June, who went to be with the Lord on July 12, 1997; his parents, William and Bernice Cadarette; sister, Donna Clemens; brother, James 'Jimmy' Cadarette; and two nephews, Mikey Cadarette and Kevin Cadarette.

He is survived by his two daughters, Teri (Rod) Kuhn of Woodstock, Georgia and Billi (Steve) McHugh of Pompano Beach, Florida; brothers, Richard (Marlene) Cadarette, Jerry (Darlene) Cadarette and Tommy (Pat) Cadarette; sisters, Mable Lund and Karen (Jim) Rickle; several nieces and nephews; and his wife, Sally Dekett Daoust Cadarette of Bay City, Michigan.
