Wayne Arthur Liske

Wayne Arthur Liske , 69, of Ossineke passed away Friday, July 15, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Wayne was born in Detroit to the late Arthur and Velda (Schiellerd) Liske on October 30, 1952. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and owned and operated Wayne Liske Construction for many years. On May 23, 1971, he married Patricia Howay. He was an active member of the Ossineke United Methodist Church, enjoyed hunting and fishing. Wayne served his community in numerous ways including Sanborn Township Trustee and as its Tax Assessor since 2003. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, that adored his family.

Surviving are his wife, Pat; 3 daughters, Jennifer (Pete) McDonald, Beth (Brad) Tessmer, Laura (Jeremy) Robertson; 5 grandchildren, Emalee, Meeghan, Madison, Lucas, Alexis; great granddaughter, Rylee; 3 siblings, Iris (Harry) Krentz, Dennis Liske, Gordon Liske; several nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary and a sister-in-law, Wanda Liske.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and will continue at the Ossineke United Methodist Church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Reeve Segrest officiating. Military honors will be accorded him by Alpena VFW Post 2496 on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Interment: Sanborn Township Cemetery

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ossineke United Methodist Church.
