Waldon Joseph Hunt

Waldon Joseph Hunt, 82, of Hillman passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Wally was born in Montmorency County on July 30, 1940, to the late Kenneth and Amelia (Cadieux) Hunt and married Lillian Louise Kempf on October 15, 1960.  She preceded him in death on January 26, 2019.  He worked on the Great Lake ships and was later employed by Abbitibi Corporation for many years.  He also engaged in farming his land located south of Hillman.

Surviving are 4 children, Elizabeth (Charles) Stemple, Robert (Lisa) Hunt, Kevin (Cindy) Hunt, Thomas (Amy) Hunt; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 6 siblings, Robert (Diane) Hunt, Thomas (Terry) Rea, Gerald (Sally) Rea, Linda (Robert) Long, Randy (Carol) Hunt, Jill (Scott) Schroeder; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by grandsons, Kevin Hunt, Waldon Hunt; great grandson, Daniel Hunt and a brother, William Hunt.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home in Hillman on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 2-8 p.m. and where the funeral will take place on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Deacon John Fitch officiating.

Interment: St. Augustine Cemetery
