Tam Louise Kennard, 65, of Hillman went home to her Heavenly Father surrounded by loved ones at her home on Monday, July 5, 2021. Tam was a true fighter and angel on earth. She beat unbelievable odds surviving with pancreatic cancer for three years. She attributed that to her strong faith, love for life and unwavering dedication of her soul mate and husband, Dan Kennard.
Tam led a life of love and devotion to God. Her faith was inspiring and contagious. She was not one to back down from a challenge and touched many lives through her 33 years as a head start teacher. She brought that dedication home as a wonderful mother to her three children and all their friends. Known as Momma Tam, she created a house of love where everyone felt welcome, which often led to dinners for 12, followed by a game of dominos, her favorite. The only role she relished more than being Mom, was being Granny. She provided a hot meal, an open ear, or a warm hug to anyone in need.
Tam was avid on a sewing machine where fashioning mittens became her forte. She crafted many beautiful jewelry pieces and displayed a natural gift of painting. Tam loved to travel with her husband by her side. One of their favorite spots was Grand Marais, where Tam would spend hours on the beach picking rocks. Tam loved any chance to gather with her family and will be missed greatly by everyone.
She was born on January 17, 1956, to the late Verl and Fern (Frye) Bleech. Surviving are her husband, Dan; three children, Christopher (Kitsie) Kennard, Melissa Kennard, Nicole (Brian) Klein; six grandchildren, Darian (Jon) Robinson, Ricky Mills, Madalyn Kennard, Sydney Klein, Greydan Klein, Ivy Kennard; Brother, Kim Bleech.
