Suni Marie Speaks, 57, of Alpena passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at home surrounded by family.
Suni Marie Szymanski was born February 10, 1965, in Detroit. On May 25, 1991, she married Raymond ‘Skip’ Speaks. Suni enjoyed her work at the Alpena Regional Airport. She was a talented artist and graphic designer who enjoyed sewing, making jewelry, knitting, and quilting. Suni was a strong fighter, who had a black belt in Karate. She enjoyed helping people with her work in hypnosis and was a very spiritual person. She had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling.
Surviving are her husband, Skip; two children, Kaytlin Speaks, Bennett Speaks; parents David (Karen) Szymanski, Julianne Olden; siblings, David Szymanski, Jackie (Jeremy) St. Onge; the Speaks family including Steve and Ann Speaks, Stephanie (Don) Gosselin, Scott (Jenny) Speaks, Heidi (Brian) LaCross, Sarah (Mark) Krans, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Per her wishes, no services are planned. Cremation arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.
