Stanley Robert Antkowiak, 72, of Lachine passed away peacefully on Friday, October 8, 2021, at his home with his loving family by his side.
Stanley was born September 30, 1949, to the late Walter and Anna (Mudrak) Antkowiak. Stanley graduated from Alpena High School and worked at Saginaw Steering Gear for 6 years, returning back home to Lachine where he farmed with his family and friend Larry Sumerix. On September 26, 1970, he married Carolyn Woloszyk. Stan loved fishing and hunting with his wife, Carolyn, and shooting skeet with his friend Kurt Schultz. Stanley dedicated his whole life to his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn; 4 children, Dennis Antkowiak, James Antkowiak, Cindy Barch, Wesley Antkowiak; 5 grandchildren, Logan, Mason Emily Barch, Morgan and Braxton Antkowiak; 4 siblings, Walter (Carol) Antkowiak, Carol (Herb) Knowlton, Michael Antkowiak, David (Elizabeth) Antkowiak; 11 sisters and brothers-in-law, Joanne (Gerald) Kroll, Marlene (Daniel) Smolinski, Lynn (David) Helinski, Sandra (Jim) Black, Paula (Brian) King, Dawn (Aaron) Hamp, Kelli (Rick) Woloszyk, Carol (Walter) Antkowiak, Elizabeth (David) Antkowiak, Roger Woloszyk, Allen Woloszyk; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Antkowiak was preceded in death by grandson, Brandon Antkowiak; stepfather, Isadore Malenski; and a brother-in-law, Marvin Woloszyk.
Honoring Stanley’s wishes cremation has been honored and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends Together.
