Shirley O’dile Vogt, 81, of Hillman passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley O’dile Himes was born on April 13, 1939 in Alpena to the late Stanley and Kathleen (McRae) Himes. On January 10, 1959, she married Charles Vogt at Grace Episcopal in Long Rapids. Shirley worked at Alpena Regional Medical Center, retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church – Royston. Shirley enjoyed gardening, baking, traveling, and playing cards.

Surviving are her husband, Charles; three children, Tamyra (Cecil) Smith, Delynn Yedinak, Scott (fiancée Meaghan McGill) Vogt; four grandchildren, Darrien Smith, Michael Yedinak, Makenzie Vogt, Rachel Vogt; three siblings, Barbara Cordes, Duane (Audrey) Himes, Kathy (Wayne) Kruczynski; sister-in-law, Donna Himes; and brother-in-law, Bruce Edmonds.

Mrs. Vogt was preceded in death by her grandson, Devin Vogt; brother, Dale Himes; and sister, Joan Edmonds.

Due to the most recent limitation, a private funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday with Rev. Jason Mandley officiating. The funeral will be live streamed at bannanfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.

Interment:  Montmorency Township Cemetery
