Russell James LeTourneau

Russell James (Jim) LeTourneau died October 8, 2022, at age 81. 

 

He was born in Detroit, MI, the son of Eugene and Bernadette (Brousseau) LeTourneau and lived his life in Alpena.  He graduated from Alpena Catholic Central High School in 1960 and served two years in the US Army. Jim was married to Sally Buszka in 1963.  He was employed by Abitibi Corporation for 42 years, until his retirement.  Jim loved to hunt and fish and was a 50-year member of the 11-40 Hunt Club, in which his father was a founding member.

 

He is survived by his wife Sally, children Tim (Bev) LeTourneau and Terry (Megan) LeTourneau, grandsons Bret, Evan, Alec, and Avery LeTourneau, and sisters June (Jerry) Mills, Lois Skiba, and Donna Compeau.

 

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother Gerald LeTourneau; sister-in-law, Maureen LeTourneau; brothers-in-law, Albert Skiba and  Raymond Compeau.

 

Immediate family will hold a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.  Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. 

 

In Jim’s memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
