Rose McCarty

Rose Ann McCarty, 80, of Alpena passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.

Rose Ann Rhoades was born in Springfield, Ohio on December 25, 1939 to the late Floyd and Opal (Maphis) Rhoades.  She married Donald McCarty on January 9, 1963.  He preceded her in death on April 27, 2013.  Rose enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casino and doing word searches.

Surviving are two children, Susan McConnell, Christopher (Sherri) McCarty; six grandchildren, Blake (Sasha) Bartlett, Dylan (Courtney) Kruse, Chloe McConnell, Zachary McCarty, Sara McCarty, Abby McCarty; 2 great grandchildren; Addie, Ryder; and a sister, Marty (Howard) Green.

Mrs. McCarty was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Rhoades and a sister, Jane Flory.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-5 p.m.  Private burial will take place in the spring.
