Roger Schultz

SCHULTZ, ROGER G., 73, of Tavares, Florida, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, in Alpena, Michigan near his summer home.  He was born to the late John and Roberta Schultz in Detroit, Michigan, attended Denby High School, served our country as a United States Marine Reservist and retired as a Regional Service Manager from Chevrolet Motor Division after 34 years with General Motors Corporation.  He is survived by his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Anne Schultz whom he was very happily married to for 52 years.  He is also survived by his two sons Jeff and his wife, Jodie, of Lapeer, MI and Don and his wife, Stephanie, of Rochester, MI; six grandchildren, Ryan, Caroline, Jackson, Julia, John, Elizabeth; and his best friend, fishing partner and older brother, Dr. Robert Schultz and wife, Karen, of Ocean Pines, MD.

Roger enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling, bike rides and working outdoors on his yard (which was always immaculate).  He had a passion for life and was always on the move.  His work ethic was unrivaled as was his love for Anne, spending their lives together from an early age and enjoying each other’s company in retirement for the last 20 years.  He was always quick with a smile and even faster with a helping hand.  Anyone who knew Roger, knew he loved a good laugh and would describe him as a good man.

Roger was one of a kind who will be missed immensely.  May you rest easy, “Radar” - we all love you so much.

No services are planned at this point, his immediate family will be having a celebration of life at a future date.  If you would like to make a donation to your favorite charity in Roger’s name, he would have appreciated that.
