Rochford “Rocky” Allan Neville, 83, of Posen passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at home following an extended illness.
Rocky was born July 24, 1935 to the late Edward and Mary (Ringleb) Neville. He served in the United States Army. On October 26, 1964, he married Carolyn Atkinson. Rocky worked for GM in Flint for 30 years until his first retirement in 1992. Later he became a bus driver for Hillman Community Schools until illness forced him into his second retirement.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Carolyn; four children, Claudia Neville, Faron Neville, Ronn (Barb) Neville, Mary Delling; 7 grandchildren, Robert Allen, Joshua Denny, Faron Neville, Manda Nicholi, Dakotah Neville, Joseph & Eli Delling; and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by five siblings, Dorothia Zsidi, Margaret (James) West; Lois Tinker, John (Sharron) Tinker, Thomas (Beverly) Tinker; three sisters-in-law, Diane Tinker, Wanda Tinker, and Linda Neville.
Mr. Neville was preceded in death by his son, James; stepfather, William Tinker; five siblings, Nancy Napierala, David Tinker, Allan Tinker, William Tinker, and William Neville.
Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, July 27, at Long Rapids Congregational Church from 1 p.m. until the memorial service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Arnie Kirschner officiating. Military honors to follow by Posen V.F.W. Post 7804. Arrangements by Bannan Funeral Home.
