Robert DeCaire

Robert Lee DeCaire, 86, of Alpena passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland.

Bob was born in Alpena to the late Victor and Gladys (Bellmore) DeCaire on May 10, 1935.  He served in the United States Army and later retired from the United States Post Office in 2000.  Bob was an active volunteer, a member of the All Saints Parish and loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Monique Megchiani, Jackie (Cameron) Black; 3 grandchildren, Mya, Madison and Braylen.

Bob was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Joyce Fitzpatrick, Barbara Muszynski, Gerald DeCaire and Geraldine Ellis.

Visitation (please wear U of M colors) will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. military honors will be accorded him by VFW Alpena Post 2496 at 6 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m.  Visitation will continue at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating.
