Robert Anthony Butkovich

Robert Anthony Butkovich, 89, of Hubbard Lake passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Medilodge – Alpena.

Born in Flint on January 1, 1934, to the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Hickey) Butkovich.  He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and retired from AC Spark Plug in Flint after 35 years. On July 2, 1955, he married Joan M. Dvorsky.  Bob enjoyed woodworking, carving, and telling a good story.

Surviving are his wife, Joan; 5 children, Kim (David) Coleman, Gary Butkovich, Dianne Horton, David (Karen Harrington) Butkovich, Jan (Michael Arkel) Butkovich; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a sister, Maryanne Thayer.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Robert Butkovich, II and Mark Butkovich.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
