Richard Raquepaw

Richard Dale Raquepaw, 76, of Curran passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at his home.

Richard was born on June 18, 1945, in Saginaw to the late Wilbur and Dorothy (Clark) Raquepaw.  On October 15, 1965, he married Winona Rose.  He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam War.  He was an active member of VFW Alpena Post 2496, American Legion, AM Vets, D.A.V and the Cotties.

Surviving are his wife, Winona; 2 children, Teresa (David) Hickey, Joseph (Angela) Raquepaw; 4 grandchildren, Nathan (Christina Glenn) Qualls, Jared (Beverly) Qualls, Zackery Raquepaw, Allison Raquepaw; 8 great grandchildren; 4 siblings, John (Diane) Raquepaw, Patrick (Vickie) Raquepaw, Linda (Keith) Smith, Dianna Raquepaw; many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Raquepaw was preceded in death by a great grandson, Brantley.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 12 noon with Kenneth Pallaske officiating followed by military honors accorded by VFW Alpena Post 2496.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the VFW Alpena Post 2496 Honor Guard.
