Raymond Gerald Johnson

Raymond Gerald Johnson, 90, of Alpena passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at his home.

Raymond was born in Alpena on December 1, 1932, to the late Seth and Louise (Bethal) Johnson.  He married Shirley Mae Stepanski on July 5, 1952.  She preceded her in death on July 4, 2014.  Ray enjoyed carpentry work, going to camp, hunting, and fishing.

Surviving are 2 children, Lorraine (Don) Dietz, Steven (Debbie) Johnson; 5 grandchildren, Sheila (Jonathan) Kizer, Marie Dietz, Danyelle Dietz, Robin (Spencer) Gloss, Janine LaCross; 4 great grandchildren; 2 siblings, Gloria Roznowski and John “Jack” Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by 2 siblings, Joann Dault and Larry Johnson.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.  A private graveside service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
