Randall Jerry Bicksler, 73, of Alpena passed away peacefully Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his home.
Randall was born on October 12, 1946 in Compton, California to Donald and Betty (Bradley) Bicksler. On June 29, 1968, he married Linda Kowalski, who he met while serving in the United States Air Force. Randy worked for GTE for 37 years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of All Saints Parish. Randy loved playing all sports, excelling in baseball, later coaching, officiating, and watching the Detroit Tigers. He was a friend of Bill W., which impacted his spiritual life. Randy enjoyed the woods, hunting, fishing, time at “Bob’s Camp”, Fourth of July gatherings with family and friends and most importantly, he always had time for his children.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; two children, Christine (Trent) Seguin, Bradley (Rebecca) Bicksler; son-in-law, Tom (Shannon) Heath; 6 grandchildren, Andrea, Katie, Alexandra, Brendan, Austin, Kennedy; 6 great grandchildren; mother, Betty Bicksler; and brother, Steven (Rosalie) Bicksler.
Randy was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacy Heath; infant great grandson, Oliver; father, Donald Bicksler; brother, Mark Bicksler; and sister, Peggy Bicksler.
Visitation will take place Monday at Bannan Funeral Home from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and will continue the same day at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 2 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. with Rev. Scott Lawler officiating.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
