Phillip Thomas Montie

Phillip Thomas Montie, 66, of Alpena, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at home.

Phil was born August 5, 1956, in Alpena to the late Clarence and Gloria (Richards) Montie. He was a master tinkerer, loved the outdoors, mudding, gardening, and was a jack of all trades.

Surviving are his children, Roseann (David) Wagner, Phillip (Jessica) Montie, Jay (Randie) Montie; stepchildren, Kurt (Dana) Hompstead, Kris (Stephanie ) Kester; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-granchildren. Also surviving is a sister Lilly Montie; brothers, Richard Montie and Marvin Dubey. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Lee.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
