Miriam Smith

Miriam Paula Smith, 74, of Hubbard Lake passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Medilodge of Alpena.

Miriam Paula Kalfus was born on January 3, 1947, in Newark, New Jersey to the late Joseph and Fannie (Soshow) Kalfus. On February 26, 1988, she married David Smith. Miriam was a member of the Ossineke Eagles and enjoyed gardening and trivia.

Surviving are her husband, David; two children, Melissa Conklin, James Conklin; a grandson; two brothers, Marty Kalfus and Phillip Kalfus.

Memorial visitation will take place Monday at Bannan Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Art Fournier officiating. Live streaming will be available at www.bannanfunerlhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Huron Humane Society or Friends Together.
