Michael Pyscynski

Michael Leonard Pyscynski passed into the “Lords Hands” Friday May 21, 2021.

Michael was born September 23, 1957 in Alpena, Michigan.

Michael attended St. Mary’s School as a child. He was an altar boy which he loved. One day he helped his relative Monsignor Gatzke during a Mass.

Michael loved baseball. At the age of 10 he was a catcher for the Alpena Huron Shores Team in 1967, his team won the State Championship!  He still remembered, the cars on both sides of squaw bay welcoming the team home.  He was so excited and happy.  Michael went on to play ball for local teams for fun into his 30’s.  He also played in pool leagues and was incredibly talented with a pool stick.

At the age of 18, his life changed as he descended into mental illness.  When the moments of peace happened, he was a kind man, loved animals, his friends, and the beauty of his world, and also a good joke to tell everyone.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Rosemary Pyscynski, sister, Linda and brother, Allen.

He is survived by his 3 sisters, Kathy, Nancy and Maryann, nieces Jamie; nephew, Dakota; great niece Lily Anna Rose.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sunrise Mission, Friendship Room or Huron Humane Society.
