Merry Butz

Merry Lee Butz, 65, of Hubbard Lake passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Merry Lee Goodrich was born on November 1, 1955 in Alpena to the late E. Thomas and Phyllis (Caverly) Goodrich. On October 9, 1992, she married Donald Butz Jr. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2003. Merry was a member of Ramblin Rods Car Club and Air Force Association. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her three children, Mandi (Jesse) Klein, Justin (Sarah) Banham, Courtney (Derek) Krentz; 7 grandchildren, Trueman, Marissa, Rob, Samantha, Madelyn, Lorelei, Emmett; Don’s family; brother, William (Mary) Goodrich; sister, Ruth Bygden; nephews, George Goodrich, John (Jamaican) Bygden, Joe (Nicole) Plume; niece, Brenda Goodrich; and great nephew, Avery.

Mrs. Butz was preceded in death by her infant sister, Emily Marie.

Visitation will take place Friday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. A graveside service will take place Saturday at 1 p.m. at King Settlement Cemetery.
