Mary Bedard

Mary Fidelis Bedard, 104, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at home.

Mary Fidelis Cousineau was born on August 10, 1917, in Alpena to the late Wilfred and Irene (Dougherty) Cousineau. On August 27, 1938, she married Theodore Bedard. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1996. Mary Fidelis was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, its Altar Society, and Daughters of Isabella.

Surviving are her four children, Dale (Bonnie) Bedard, Gary (Marie) Bedard, David Bedard, Donna Bowen; 11 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren. Mary Fidelis was preceded in death by her son-in-law, William Bowen; daughter-in-law, Connie Bedard; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilfred & Marion Cousineau, Donald & Thelma Cousineau, and Edward Cousineau.

Visitation will take place Sunday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-6 p.m. followed by a parish prayer service and continue Monday at St. John the Baptist Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be streamed at www.bannanfuneralhome.com.
