Mark Werth

Mark Thomas Werth, was born in Alpena, Michigan on September 11,
1958. He died at his home, in Lincoln, Nebraska on December 5, 2020.
Mark was 62 years old.
His father, Ferris Werth predeceased Mark. He is survived by his
mother, Janet Kramer, stepfather Norman Kramer, sister Molly Bruski
(Tim Bruski), their son, Keith Werth (Christy Werth), brothers, Alan
Kramer (Donna Kramer) of Stockbridge, GA, Matt Kramer (Sharon Kramer)

of Bentley, MI, Cole Griffin of Alpena, MI, and several nieces and nephews.
Mark received an Associate Degree in Chemistry from Alpena Community
College, a Master’s in Chemistry from Michigan State University, and
PhD in Inorganic Biochemistry from Iowa State University. He was a
professor at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln. Mark served as
Department Chair for several years, devoted to his students and his
profession.
Mark earned a pilot’s license in 1999 and owned an airplane. He was
an avid traveler who enjoyed planning and spending his summer breaks,
exploring numerous national parks across the country. Alaska was the
place he enjoyed most.
Services were held at Wesleyan University.
