Marion M. Gedeon, 75, of Alpena passed away peacefully Friday, January 6, 2023, surrounded by family at her home on Long Lake.
Marion May Alexander was born on January 24, 1947, to the late Carl and Florence (Kline) Alexander. Marion enjoyed her life on the lake with her husband Jeff, the love of her life of 55 years. She loved having coffee on the deck, watching the ducks, fishing and boating. Every year she harvested the garden and was known for making the best zucchini bread and jams in the world. She also had a great love and appreciation of nature and enjoyed picking pine cones, camping especially on Lake Superior where she would search for agates and Petosky stones. She really enjoyed trips to the casino but more than anything she loved being surrounded by her family. It was what she lived for. We will all miss picking up the phone on our birthdays and hearing her sing to us. She will be missed for many things more than words can say by her family and friends.
Marion is survived by her husband, Jeffrey, four children, Robin (Bill) Klein, Jeffrey (Jody) Gedeon, Tracy Fox, Chris (Jeanne) Gedeon; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchildren; brother, Michael; sister Shirley; brother-in-law, John; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gedeon was preceded in death by 7 siblings.
Per her wishes cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at a later time. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
