Loretta LaTulip was born November 9, 1931, and passed on to her heavenly home on January 2, 2023. (91yrs.)
Loretta was born to George and Elizabeth (Nowicki) LaTulip of Rogers City. After graduation, Loretta went on to be an Army veteran that served in the Korean War. After returning home from the war, she entered the convent as a Nun with the Felician order in Livonia. While there she served as a teacher and was also doing accounts at St. Mary's Hospital, all while attending school to get her Degrees. After 10 years it was again time to move on to her next calling, first as a teacher in Detroit and then at Alpena Community College for 36 years, retiring in 1995.
In her spare time, she enjoyed going to church, traveling, plays, and musical concerts and spending time with family and friends. Loretta was a member of St. Anne Church and Delta Kappa Gama.
Surviving are her three brothers, Donald LaTulip, Leonard (Barbara) LaTulip, Thomas (Penny) LaTulip; and several nieces and nephews. Loretta was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth LaTulip.
Memorial visitation will take place Friday, February 10, 2023, at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Lingaur officiating. Military honors will follow by Alpena V.F.W. Post 2496. Arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.
