Lois Jane Diedrich, 94, of Alpena passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at home surrounded by family.
Lois Jane Hopfinger was born on April 21, 1927, in Port Clinton, Ohio to the late John and Jenny (Conley) Hopfinger. On September 17, 1948, she married Bernard Diedrich. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1988. Lois was a member of All Saints Parish and Altar Society. She cherished her very large family and loved all the gatherings and family celebrations.
Surviving are her 11 children, Michael (Kathy) Diedrich, Rosanne (Marc) Keller, Donna (Ron) Kershner, Linda (Michael) Kreis, Mary (Craig) Ferguson, John (Gail) Diedrich, Kenneth (Debbie) Diedrich, Joseph (Barb) Diedrich, Christine (Eugene) Hoffman, Janet (Joe) Edick, Paul (Julie) Diedrich; son-in-law, Gregg Wieschowski; sisters-in-law, Marilynn Smith, Ila Rose Griffin; brother-in-law, Bud Frampton; 47 grandchildren; and 71 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Diedrich was preceded in death by two sons, Charles, Thomas; daughter Ann; grandchildren, Brian Labo, Ryan Diedrich; one great grandchild, Beau Diedrich; daughter-in-law, Tracie Diedrich; and son-in-law, Richard Labo. Also, her siblings, Charles Hopfinger, Agnes Brindley, Margaret Mulligan, Amie Rose Hyde, and Jack Hopfinger.
Visitation will take place Sunday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. and will continue Monday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating. Live streaming will be available at www.bannanfuneralhome.com.
Interment: Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, Ohio
