Lee Kirkpatrick

Lee Kirkpatrick, 74, of Herron passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at her home following a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Georgia Lee Brown was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Frank and Lena (Ebersole) Brown. She married Douglas Kirkpatrick on June 6, 1991. She taught at various colleges and universities, retiring from Alpena Community College after 20 years in 2015. Lee enjoyed gardening and was a past member of the League of Women Voters.

Surviving are her husband, Doug; several nieces and nephews.

Lee was preceded in death by four siblings, Donald Brown, Marlene Laws, Arlene Keen, and Janice Bender.

A memorial gathering will take place Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Bannan Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Cremation arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan, Alzheimer’s Association, or Alpena Community College.
