Lawrence Eugene Dziesinski, 81, of Alpena passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021, at his home following ill health.
Lawrence Eugene Dziesinski was born in Alpena on August 24, 1940, to the late Alexander and Anna (Chalupniczak) Dziesinski. He served in the United States Army stationed in Germany as an M.P. Larry married Janet M. Daly on September 4, 1971. Larry was employed by Philip Morris Company, Besser Company as an overseas salesman, traveling throughout the world for them. For three summers he mined gold in Alaska. He later owned and operated the Alpena Mobile Home Court. He enjoyed sailing, fishing, and flying. He was a member of the All Saints Parish, Alpena Yacht Club for over 50 years and served as commodore twice. Along with his brother Don, he enjoyed flying for over 50 years, from his airstrip on Haken Road, and restoring planes.
Surviving are his wife, Janet; 7 siblings, Diane (Richard) Spicer, Eileen (Larry Jones) Frantz, Stanley (Carol) Dziesinski, Theodore (Karen) Dziesinski, Barbara (Richard Skowronski) Dziesinski, Kenneth (Trisha) Dziesinski, Randy Dziesinski; sister-in-law, Connie Dziesinski; brother-in-law, Donald Schilstra; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dziesinski was preceded in death by a sister, Marianne Schilstra and brothers, Steven Dziesinski, Donald Dziesinski; and brother-in-law, Richard Frantz
Memorial visitation will take place at the St. Bernard Church of All Saints Parish on Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. Streaming will be available at www.bannanfuneralhome.com.
