Kenneth Grulke

Kenneth William Grulke, 91, of Alpena passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Medilodge of Alpena.

Kenneth was born on July 25, 1929 in Rogers City, Michigan to the late Gustuv and Lena (Claus) Grulke. He served in the United States Marine Corp. On July 10, 1954, he married Joan Gibbons. Kenneth worked at Huron Portland Cement, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, enjoyed hunting, and was a Detroit Tiger fan.

Surviving are his wife, Joan; five children, Gerald Grulke, Michael (Julie) Grulke, Dennis (Denise) Grulke, Janice (Thomas) Clearwood, David (Heidi) Grulke; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene (Beverly) Grulke, Harold (Nancy) Grulke; and sister, Ruth Ward.

Mr. Grulke was preceded in death by his infant son, James William.

Visitation will take place Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joshua Schultz officiating. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. The service will be live streamed at bannanfuneralhome.com for those that are unable to attend.
