Katherine Sheldon

Katherine Fern Sheldon, 88, of Lachine passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Katherine Fern Kingsley was born on June 14, 1931 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to the late William and Marion (Griffin) Kingsley. On April 14, 1950, she married Robert Sheldon. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1996. They owned and operated Sheldon’s Grocery in Lachine.

Surviving are her four children, Sheila Jones, Barbara (David) Niedzwiecki, Patricia Burr, Robert (Brenda) Sheldon; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Sandy) Kingsley and Kenneth (June) Kingsley.

Mrs. Sheldon was preceded in death by her grandson, Nicholas and brother, William Kingsley.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place in June.

Inurnment: Long Rapids Township Cemetery
