Julie Spicer

Julie Ann “Mama Jules” Spicer, 64, of Ossineke passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Julie Ann Spleet was born in Alpena on September 13, 1956 to the late Donald and Emogene (Sauls) Spleet.  On October 10, 1980, she married Michael Spicer.  She has worked as an LPN at Medilodge – Green View for the past 20 years.  Julie enjoyed gardening, watercolor paintings, and loved her dogs; Bella, Biff and Chase.  She will be remembered for her kindness and love she showed to her patients and those around her.  Julie always put her family first, especially, her granddaughter, Scout.

Surviving are her husband Michael; 2 children, Cassie Spicer, Nathaniel (Audrie) Spicer, granddaughter, Scout; 4 brothers, Jeff Spleet, Greg (Susie) Spleet, Dave (Patti) Spleet, Michael Spleet; sister-in-law, Carol Sue Chapman; brother-in-law, Patrick (Janet) Spicer; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will take place Friday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 2 p.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Muszkiewicz officiating.  Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
