Judith Gaye Kowalski, age 75 of Clarkston, formerly of Alpena, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021. She was born on April 15, 1946, in Three Rivers, Michigan to parents Anthony and Mary Lou Manino.
Judy grew up in Alpena, Michigan but settled in California in her twenties. She enjoyed nature, books, and her family. Judy retired from Orange Coast College and then returned to her beloved home state of Michigan. She continued her career at Clarkston High School and cherished being close to her family. After her second retirement, she enjoyed spending the winter months in California with her daughter and family.
Judy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kelli (Tom) Erspamer; daughter-in-law, Sheri Kowalski; grandchildren: Haley Kowalski, Brandon Kowalski, and Natalie Lebeda. She was preceded in death by both parents; son, James Kowalski; and dear friend and father of her children, Jim Kowalski.
As were her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will take place Saturday, July 2, 2022, at St. Mary Church of All Saints Parish in Alpena from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating. Luncheon to follow at St. Anne's Parish. Those desiring, may make a memorial contribution to the Michigan Humane Society in honor of Judy.
