Joyce Worniak

Joyce Worniak, 76, of Ossineke passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at home surrounded by love.

She was a Mother that inspired utter love, devotion, and respect in her children. Her genuine love for people impacted everyone she met for the better.

It would be wrong to say that Mom lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When many would have broken, she stayed strong. She will be in our hearts, in our thoughts, in our lives, always…

Joyce was born on April 4, 1944 to the late John and Helen Kropp. She was married to Ted Worniak who preceded her in death in 2007.

Joyce ended her working career with her retirement from Alpena Community College in 2009.  This allowed her to further pursue her love of the art of embroidery and needlepoint of which many of her family and friends were recipients of her exceptional talent.

Surviving are her two children, Jill Burnham, Jeff Burnham; three siblings, Jeanne Cousineau, John Kropp, Jim (Vicky) Kropp, many nieces and nephews and her three fur baby cats.

A private “Celebration of Life” graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
