Joyce McLennan

Joyce Nadyne McLennan, 92, of Alpena passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Medilodge of Alpena.

Joyce Nadyne Hickson was born in Hazel Park on August 20, 1928, to the late Byron and Gertrude (Miller) Hickson.  On July 21, 1949, she married Norman McLennan.  He preceded her in death on April 5, 1977.  She was a member of the Eastern Star Alpena Chapter 341, enjoyed reading, playing cards and Bingo.

Surviving are four children, Kim (Carol) McLennan, Kirk McLennan, Janine (Jackson) Brown, Jacqueline (William) Herbert; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, Dale Hickson, Raymond (Elaine) Hickson; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McLennan was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Hartman; and a sister-in-law, Doris Hickson.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon with Rev. Arnie Kirschner officiating.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery – Millersburg

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Alpena Senior Citizens Center, 501 River Street, Alpena, MI  49707.
