John 'Randy' Smith

John Randall Smith, 68, of Spruce passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at home.

John was born on September 27, 1953, in Alpena to the late John O. and Ruth Smith. On September 4, 1976, he married Rhonda Goetz. Randy retired from the Alcona County Road Commission after 28 years. He enjoyed hunting, farming, and camping.

Surviving are his wife, Rhonda of 45 years; son, Mike (Jess) Smith; daughters, Lori (Marc) Montana, Stacey Rayl, Kelly (Jason) Yeager; 11 grandchildren, Miranda (Cody) Martin, Keegan (Sierra) Smith, Alli Lask, Elliyana, Adriana Grimshaw, Jordan, Melissa Rayl, Shelbie, Tayler Frye, Cooper, Kennedy Yeager; three great granddaughters, Addison, Amelia Martin, Tatum Smith; brothers, Bill (Helen) Smith, Larry Smith, Roger Smith; sister, Sharon (Duane) Schultz; sister-in-law, Eleanore Smith; special friend, Mike Johnston; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by brothers, Ron Smith, Dennis Smith; grandson, Zachary Yeager.

Visitation will take place at Bannan Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and continue Monday at Hope Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Herbert Kitzman officiating.

Interment:  Caledonia Township Cemetery
