Jasper James Holsworth, 88, of Spruce passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at his home.
Born in Rodney, MI on October 19, 1932 to the late Charles and Cloe (Thompson) Holsworth. He served in the United States Army for 3 years during the Korean War. He was very patriotic and was proud of the time he served. Jim was an active member of the Spruce Presbyterian Church, serving as an Elder and Deacon. He was a stone mason all his life, making beautiful stone fireplaces, and enjoyed playing poker, hunting, and fishing. On January 15, 1994 he married Ramona (Beloskur) Clark.
Surviving are his wife, Ramona; 6 children, James (Leslie) Holsworth, Steve Holsworth, Loree (Mark) Robertson, Brenda (Jim) Kieliszewski, Shawna (Mike) Scott, Travis (Molly) Black; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 step-children, Tamara (Douglas) Quick, Sherry Clark (Jennifer Smalley); 2 step-grandchildren; and 1 step-great granddaughter.
Mr. Holsworth was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Charles “Buzz” Holsworth, Lyle Holsworth; sister, Bernadette Garrett; nephew, Gary Garrett; and his first wife and mother of his children, Alice Mae.
Memorial visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 2 p.m. until the time of the private memorial service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Krause officiating, followed by military honors by VFW Alpena Post 2496.
