James Kirchoff

James Allen Kirchoff, 85, of Alpena passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at home.

James was born on May 4, 1935 in Alpena to the late Leonard and Mary (Knechtel) Kirchoff. On August 25, 1973, he married Phyllis Barbara Arnold. She preceded him in death on March 13, 2020. He worked as an iron worker for Local 759, retiring in 1990. James enjoyed fishing and going to the casino.

Surviving are his son, Greg (Lynn) Kirchoff; two stepchildren, Ardith (Fred) Lupton, Trish Fetteroff; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two sisters, Dixie (Kenneth) Weiler, Shirley Sincler; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kirchoff was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Bellmore; brother, Leonard Kirchoff; two sisters, Thelma Grace and Caroline Weise.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Bannan Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. John Shipman officiating.

Interment:  Evergreen Cemetery
