James Hamill

James Anthony Hamill, 66, of Alpena passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at University Hospital in Ann Arbor.

James was born in Alpena on November 23, 1953 to the late Robert and Gwendolyn (Gutkowski) Hamill.  He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Jim enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending time with his sons and family.  He will also be remembered for his sense of humor.

Surviving are 2 sons, Corey Hamill, Chad Hamill; 2 grandchildren, Anthony, Abbey; 2 sisters, Linda (Butch) Woytaszek, Cindy (Don) Backus; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hamill, Jr.

Visitation will take place on Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. James Erickson officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
