Iris Moggie

Iris Marlene (Hamann) Moggie, 85, of Ossineke passed away peacefully Saturday, April 10, 2021 at her home.

Iris Marlene Hamann was born in Rogers City on August 29, 1935 to the late William and Frieda (Plath) Hamann.  She graduated from Alpena High School in 1953.  In her youth, she loved to go dancing, ice skating and roller skating, this is where she met the love of her life, Arthur. They were married on May 15, 1954.

Surviving are her husband Arthur of almost 67 years; son, Michael (Lisa) Moggie; four grandchildren, Angela (Ryan) Leyrer, Cristi (Roger) Moggie, Brennan Moggie, Lindsey Moggie; six great grandchildren, Olivia, Noah, Amelia, Hudson, Alyssa, Austin; and sister-in-law, Ruth Hamann.

Mrs. Moggie was preceded in death by infant son, James; two sisters, Melina Cuddie, Louis Cramer; three brothers, Bill Hamann, Loren Hamann, and Delmar Hamann.

Visitation will take place at Hope Lutheran Church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon with Rev. Steven Abend officiating.  The funeral will be live streamed at www.bannanfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
