Glenn Louis LaRoche, 76, of Alpena passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at his home.
Glenn was born on September 8, 1943 in Alpena to the late Lawrence and Mable (Eller) LaRoche. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and worked for Lafarge, retiring in 2005. On December 14, 1973, he married Sheryl Stepanski. Glenn was a member of V.F.W. Alpena Post 2496, Eagles, and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed racing, motorcycles, cars, lawn mowers, and playing pool.
Surviving are his wife, Sheryl; two sons, Richard LaRoche, Wayne LaRoche; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Karen LaPlaunt; brother, Larry (Anna) LaRoche; many nieces and nephews; and his “little buddy”, Jack Piper.
Mr. LaRoche was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Bleau.
Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. A family memorial service will take place in the spring.
