George Morasky

George Edmund Morasky, 72, of Alpena passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 at his home.

George was born in Wayne County on May 31, 1947 to the late George and Angeline (Ulch) Morasky.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War.  George retired from the Besser Company and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing cards with family and friends.

Surviving are his 2 daughters, Amy (Steve Sohl) LaLonde, Cathy “Pete” (Steve Conger) Morasky; 3 grandchildren, Kali, Shane, Taylor; 5 great grandchildren, Dakota, Logan, Isaac, Ian, Jullian; dear friend, Karen Eller; brother, Bernard Morasky; 3 nephews, Joshua Morasky, Travis (Jessica) Morasky, Kyle (Rachael) Morasky and sister-in-law, Kathy Koss.

Memorial visitation will take place Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. Military honors will be accorded him by Alpena V.F.W. Post 2496.
