Frederick Maurice Keune IV

Frederick Maurice Keune IV, 69, of Alpena passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Frederick was born August 22, 1953, to the late Frederick III and Carol (Conlon) Keune. He served in the United States Army as a MP Paratrooper Air Borne 82 and worked at the Alpena CRTC for 36 years. On November 6, 1982, he married Charlotte Pentland. Fred enjoyed grouse and deer hunting and time at camp. He served on the Maple Ridge Township Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife, Charlotte; two sons, Scott Keune, Eric (Kailey) Keune; three grandchildren, Hallie, Shae, Lincoln; sister, Laurie (Dan) Frazer; and brother-in-law, Rafael Turanzas.

Fred was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Turanzas and brother, David Keune.

Memorial visitation will take place Saturday, May 6, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 2 p.m. with Rev. William Rayment officiating followed by military honors by Alpena VFW Post 2496. Arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.
