Francis Farrier

Francis Loraine Farrier, 89, of Hillman passed away peacefully Monday, September 30, 2019, at her home.

Francis Loraine Klein was born on April 18, 1930 in Montmorency County to the late Ruban and Clara (Gollen) Klein. On September 19, 1948, she married Melford Farrier. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2004. Francis loved her cats and making crafts.

Surviving are her loving companion, Jack Almas; three children, Loraine (Ron Sortor) Thompson, Melford (Lynn) Farrier, Lydia (Connie Tyler) Farrier; 7 grandchildren, Rebecca (Marty) Fessler, Melanie Aikens, Charlene (Jeremy) Bye, Melissa (Al Maurer) Farrier, Tina (tommy) Wilson, Karissa Thompson, Nick Sortor; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; four brothers, Thomas Klein, James Klein, Clare Klein, David Klein; sister, Edna Balog; and Jack’s family.

Mrs. Farrier was preceded in death by her infant sister, Helen; two sisters, Delia Slieff, Marie Allen; and grandson-in-law, Paul Aikens.

Visitation will take place on Friday at Hillman United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 12 noon with Rev. Lisa Kelley officiating. Arrangements have been handled by Bannan Funeral Home.
