Elsie Schultz

Elsie A. Schultz, 97, of Hubbard Lake went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 5, 2021.

Elsie A. Sommerfield was born in Ossineke Township on April 17, 1923 to the late Frederick and Amelia (Hartman) Sommerfield. On May 31, 1941, she married Theodore Schultz of Hubbard Lake and he preceded her in death on March 27, 2000. Elsie was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hubbard Lake.

Surviving are her daughter, Dorothy (Jerry) Oliver of Long Rapids, Glenn (Lory) Schultz of Newport News, VA; 5 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Elsie was preceded in death by a son, Gerry Schultz; great granddaughter, Elise Johnson; brother, Frederick Sommerfield; and sister, Senda Lobert.

A private funeral service for the immediate family will take place Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Hubbard Lake at 1 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Llewellyn officiating. For those unable to attend, livestreaming will be available at www.bannanfuneralhome.com.
