Ellen Compeau

Ellen Faye Compeau, 72, of Hillman passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021 at her home.

Ellen Faye Werda was born on July 1, 1948 in Alpena to the late Michael and Blanche (Nowaczewski) Werda. On May 15, 1971, she married William Theodore Compeau. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She had a strong Catholic faith and was loving and caring, helping others and animals. Ellen gave from the heart and led a life of prayer and love for her family. She was witty, humorous, and told numerous jokes.

Surviving are her husband, Ted; five children, Steven Compeau, William (Sherri) Compeau, John (Nichole Acha) Compeau, Kari (Jeff) Sobey, James (Karen Nowicki) Compeau; five grandchildren, Hunter, Wyatt, Jack, Rylan, Emerson; two brothers, Richard Werda and Fred Werda.

Memorial visitation will take place Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. with Rev. James Siler officiating. Live streaming will be available for those unable to attend, at www.bannanfuneralhome.com.
