Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Akins

Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Akins, 60, of Lachine passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at home.

Elizabeth Ann Standen was born on August 25, 1960 in Alpena to the late Donald and Georgia (Peters) Standen.

Surviving are her son, Shane; three grandchildren, Edryonna Godin-Fowler, Aleigha Godin, Kylee Akins; four siblings, Donna (Dan) Dobbs, Barbara Santamore, Pamela (Chris) Brenton, Norma (John) Alexander; several nieces and nephews; half siblings, Pete (Jude) Schneider, Walter (Sherry) Edwards, and Laurie Ewing.

Liz was preceded in death by her stepmother, Arline Standen and niece, Trista Standen.

A graveside service will take place Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Long Rapids Township Cemetery. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
