Eileen Anna Kuchnicki, 85, of Alpena passed away, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Alpena after a lengthy illness.
Eileen Anna Piaskowski was born on July 26, 1937, to the late Harry and Leocadia (Pilarski) Piaskowski in Posen. She married James Kuchnicki on September 7, 1959, and together they raised four daughters. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2019. Eileen was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, its Rosary Society (Group #3) and CCD Catechist teacher. She was employed by Alpena Public Schools as a secretary for 25 years, retiring in 2000.
Surviving are four daughters, Mary (Paul) Kuehl, Carleen Wagner, Kathleen Mudry, Marcie (Geoff) Shaughnessy; grandchildren, Andrew (Emma) Kuehl, Matthew Kuehl, Sarah Shaughnessy, Anna Mudry, Alec Mudry; great grandchildren, Charlotte Kuehl, Jaxton Sharp; sister-in-law, Phyllis Kuchnicki; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to friends: Reggie, Jack and Julie, Tim and Tammy, Mike and Beth for all of their love and support.
Eileen was preceded in death by son-in-law, Thomas Mudry; granddaughter, Chelsea Wagner; sister, Mayvine Kamysiak; brother, Ronald Piaskowski and special niece Karen Szymanski.
Memorial visitation will take place at St. Mary Church of All Saints Parish on Monday, July 31, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon with Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating. The rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
