Dolorine Zolnierek

Dolorine Anita Zolnierek, 90, of Alpena went home to the Lord on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at home.

Dolorine Anita Durecki was born on April 4, 1931, in Presque Isle County to the late Sylvester and Helen (Mulka) Durecki. On May 7, 1955, she married Theodore Zolnierek at St. Ignatius Church in Rogers City. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1999. Dolorine enjoyed camping with her family, visiting family, and gatherings at the Polish Festival.

Dolorine is survived by her daughter, Karen Zolnierek; six grandchildren, Kevin Zolnierek, Nick (Jennifer) Zolnierek, Elyssa Evans, Stephanie McConnell, Cortland Zolnierek; one great grandson, Jaden; five sisters, Patricia Ciarkowski, Caroline Dake, Loretta Peltz, Anita Sullenger, Joanne Schaedig; and sister-in-law, Rita Durecki.

Mrs. Zolnierek was preceded in death by her sons, Mark Zolnierek, Kenneth Zolnierek; siblings, Norm Durecki, Geraldine Ciarkowski, Paul Durecki, Chester Durecki, and Sally Plath.

Visitation will take place Sunday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. with the Rosary at 3 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 2 p.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. with Rev. Michael Lingaur officiating.
