David Frary

David Gilbert Frary, 89, of Alpena passed away peacefully to his Lord Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at home.

David was born on January 27, 1932 in Flint, Michigan to the late Sherman and Mary (Furton) Frary. He married Jeanette Suszek on September 5, 1953. They were married 67 years. David took classes to become a machinist and worked at Magnoloy Manufacturing retiring in 1995. He also worked at H & R Block for 34 years. David was an active member of All Saints Parish. He was a friend of Bill W. for over 50 years. David built his home, was an avid fisherman, hunter, member of the Walleye Club, and traveled to 40 states and 11 countries.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanette; six children, John (Julia) Frary, Wanda (Martin) Gougeon, Daniel (Marti) Frary, Brenda Frary, Melinda (John) Ritter, David II (Grace) Frary; 13 grandchildren, Ben (Liz Nolte) Gougeon, Nick Frary, Jenna Frary, Elizabeth (Matt Robinson) Gougeon, Rebekah (Kyle) Duhaime, Aaron Frary, Amanda Frary, Amy Frary, Andrea Frary, Andrew Frary, Samantha Guianan, Nikki (Patrick) Jorski, Keri Roy; 10 great grandchildren, Lucy, Piper, Isaac, Bowen, Beckett, Ren, Elle, Landry, Morgan, Emerson; two great-great grandchildren, Brintlee, Ramsey; two sisters-in-law, Vinetta Frary, Arlene Frary; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Diane and Rollie.

Mr. Frary was preceded in death by seven brothers, James, Harold, Donald, Gordon, Fred, Michael, and Richard.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Bannan Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until the parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 11 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon with Rev. Joseph Muszkiewicz officiating. Live streaming will be available at www.bannanfuneralhome.com.

Interment:  Holy Cross Cemetery
